Jeff Strunk Wins First Modified Feature Of The Season At Grandview Speedway

Story By: GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – In the 30-lap feature for NASCAR T.P.Trailer Modifieds Saturday night at the Grandview Speedway, 10-time track Modified champion Jeff Strunk was able to claim his first win of the season after coming from ninth starting spot in the 28 car starting field.

Defending NASCAR T.P.Truck Equipment Champion Brian Hirthler charged from 13th spot in the 24 car starting field and took the win in the Firecracker 40 Sportsman feature. For his efforts the two time feature winner this season earned $2000.

Kyle Lilick was able to claim second in the 40 lapper for Sportsman followed by Jesse Landis. Dylan Hoch came 19th to claim 4th while Jimmy Leiby grabbed fifth and also earned the Top Finishing Crate Sportsman award.

Five feature winner Brett Kressley grabbed second in the Modified main event with Kevin Hirthler taking third spot. Defending track champion Craig Von Dohren came home fourth followed by Jared Umbenhauer.

The popular Capital Renegade Rapid Tire United Racing Club sprint cars will join the T.P. Trailers Modifieds and T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman on Saturday, July 17th creating an action packed tripleheader.

Sprint car action at Grandview always provides excitement racing and a strong field of racers is expected for the only appearance of the season. Andy Best, Ryan Taylor, Mike Thompson, Ryan Stillwagon, Jason Shultz and other top talents are expected to be on hand.

Adult admission for July 17th tripleheader is $25 for adults, $10 for youngsters 6-11 and those under 6 are admitted free.

The Meet and Greet session will feature Modified racer Jordan Henn along with Sportsman talents Chris Esposito and Matt Clay. It gets started at 5 p.m. at the main entrance area.
