Doug Manmiller Handles The Modified Field At Grandview Speedway Quite Nicely Saturday

Story By: GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – Despite threatening wet weather Doug Manmiller was able to win the 30-lap NASCAR T.P.Trailers Modified feature for the first time this season coming from 13th starting spot at Grandview Speedway on Saturday.

Ten time track Modified champion Jeff Strunk came from 12th position at the start in the 28 car starting field to finish second.

T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman point leader Kenny Gilmore, coming from 14th starting spot, drove to his second win of the season in the 25-lap Sportsman main event. Second place went to Jimmy Leiby.

In the final 602 Sportsman feature of the season Dylan Swinehart won his second 25-lap feature topping Dylan Hoch.

Former track champion Mike Gular, making a rare appearance in the Saturday night action, finished third in the Modified feature race followed by John Willman and Duane Howard.

Current Modified point leader Craig Von Dohren finished 12th and held on to his point lead as he seeks his 12th NASCAR Modified crown.

Third place in the Sportsman feature was earned by Dylan Hoch followed by Kyle Smith and defending Sportsman titleholder Brian Hirthler. Dylan Hoch earned highest finishing crate sportsman with his third place.

Ryan Grim came home in third spot in the 602 Sportsman main event with Tyler Peet in fourth followed by Richie Hitzler.

  • Saturday, September 18th. 7:00 pm. Freedom 76 $30,000 to the winner.
    Lap and qualifying event sponsorships are available for the 51st Annual Freedom 76 set for September 18th. The winner will walk off with at least $30,000.
