Defending Champ Craig Von Dohren Wins Second Mod Feature Of ’21 At Grandview Speedway

Story By: GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – For the second time this season defending NASCAR T.P.Trailers Modified champion Craig Von Dohren was able to charge to victory Saturday night in the 30 Modified feature at Grandview Speedway.

Von Dohren, coming from 14th starting spot, was able to grab the top spot and gain a few points on current Modified point leader Brett Kressley who finished second after starting 15th.

Kyle Smith was the winner of the T.P.Truck Equipment feature finishing ahead of Steve Young. Jeff Paulson grabbed the victory in the Vintage Modified feature and it was Myron Haydt claiming the top spot in the Vintage Sportsman feature.

Finishing third in the Modified feature race was Jared Umbenhauer followed by Craig Whitmoyer and Duane Howard.

Behind Steve Young in the Sportsman main event was point leader Kenny Gilmore. Fourth place went to Paul Effrig while Dylan Hoch followed in fifth.

Scott Schaeffer came home 2nd in the Vintage Modified feature followed by Jon Lines. Jay Garris earned second in the Vintage Sportsman main event with Bill Gerhart grabbing third.

Closing out the month, July 31, will be the return of the 602 Sportsman racers as they join the Modifieds and Sportsman. Headlining the Meet & Greet will be Modified ace Jared Umbenhauer along with Sportsman talents Kenny Bock and Lex Shive. An added attraction will be the appearance of NASCAR Xfinity driver David Starr who carries the same ATS sponsorship as Bock.

The month of August kicks off with a Thunder on the Hill Racing Series doubleheader that will feature the USAC National Midgets Ken Brenn Masters and Modifieds. That will be Tuesday, August 3 with a 7:30 p.m. starting time.
Friday August 6th will feature the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Vintage Racing Series. Action gets the green at 7 p.m.

Saturday August 7th the T.P.Trailer Modifieds and T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman will be featured in another action packed show.
