Brett Kressley Wins Fifth Modified Feature Of ’21 Season At Grandview Speedway

Story By: GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – Modified point leader Brett Kressley was able to hold off 11-time champion Craig Von Dohren by a narrow margin to win his fifth NASCAR T.P.Trailers 30-lap Modified feature of the season at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night.

Point leader Kenny Gilmore claimed his first win of the season in the 25-lap T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman feature. Finishing in the top spot with the Vintage Modifieds was Wes Cassel while Joe Medaglia was top finisher with the Sportsman Vintage racers.

Von Dohren was able to hold on to second in the Modified feature followed by Jeff Strunk, Jared Umbenhauer and Mike Maresca.

Logan Bauman grabbed second in the Sportsman feature followed by hard charging Cole Stangle in third. Finishing fourth was Kyle Lilick followed by Lex Shive.

Second place in the Vintage Modifieds went to Jeff Paulson followed by Jon Lines, Scott Schaeffer and Mike Stofflet.
Finishing behind Medaglia in the Vintage Sportsman was Denise Hall, Myron Haydt, Mike Garris Sr. and Matt Smith.

The NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series featuring the Modifieds and Sportsman had 70 cars taking part in the action packed events.

Tuesday, June 29th another exciting Thunder On The Hill Series featuring the Pennsylvania 410 Sprint Speedweek with the Hodnett Cup paying $10,000 to win plus 358 Modifieds.

Sportsman will be in the spotlight on Saturday, July 3rd, when the annual Firecracker 40 is presented with a large field of T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman expected to battle for the $2,000 first place money. The T.P. Trailers Modifieds will be the second part of the show. Adult admission is $22 while youngsters 6 thru 11 pay $10 Under 6 are admitted free. Action gets the green at 7:30 p.m.

Modified racer Bobby Gunther Walsh will have his #65 on display and will be giving out American flags, Mike & Ike plus Hot Tamales candy (both are sponsors on his race car), rising star Joey Vaccaro and veteran racing talent Ryan Beltz. It happens at 5 p.m. at the main admission gate area.
