Humberstone Speedway Puts 2020 Season On Pause; Waiting For Green Light To Begin

Story By: STEVE PETTY / HUMBERSTONE SPEEDWAY – PORT COLBORNE, ONT – With the current COVID-19 pandemic, management of the New Humberstone Speedway with the health and safety of the drivers, crews, officials, staff, fans, and sponsors in mind, have decided to postpone the start of the 2020 season until it is safe to start racing.

“We will be 100% prepared to start racing as soon as the government restrictions have been lifted”, states Promoter Dave Bitner Jr. “We will be working with everyone and we plan on running all of our scheduled events” Bitner added. The speedway is continuing to follow all the recommendations established by the Ontario Ministry of Health to keep everyone safe. The situation remains very fluid and any additional information or changes will be communicated at the appropriate time.

With the announcement of the Club 54 Weekly Racing Series program with FREE driver’s admission will still be taking place.

The speedway would like to thank all our marketing and media partners for their continued support of racing at the historic Port Colborne, Ontario oval. The Club 54 Weekly Racing Series features the Cosco Haulage DIRTcar Sportsman, Pro Fabrication Late Models, JC Auto Thunderstocks, and the Glo & Go Tanning Mini Stocks. In 2020, the Pro 4 Trucks will be racing with the Mini Stocks.
