Showdown In Dundee: Short Track Super Series Invades Outlaw Speedway May 18th

Story By: CHRIS MOORE / SHORT TRACK SUPER SERIES – DUNDEE, NY – The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco continues the Hurlock Auto & Speed North Region just as quickly as it begins.

The ‘Outlaw Showdown’ takes place just one week after the North Region kicks off: Tuesday, May 18 at N.Y.’s Outlaw Speedway. The race serves as Round No. 2 of the 11-race Hurlock Auto & Speed North Region for the big-block/small-block Modifieds.

The May 18 event will be the fourth STSS race in total at the Yates County facility, after the 2020 visit fell victim to COVID-19 restrictions.

The Modifieds will race for 50-laps, and $5,000 to win around the four-tenths mile circuit. A minimum $25,170 total purse has been put in place with numerous bonuses and certificates available.

Also on the card for the May 18 event will be the “open tire” Sportsman racing for $1,500-to-win, while the Street Stocks, Four Cylinders and Hobby Stocks will all race for $750-to-win.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. with the grandstands opening at 5 p.m. Hot laps start at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.

General admission prices are $25 for Adults, $22 for Seniors and Kids 12 and under get in FREE. Pit Admission is $40 (no license required).
