Humberstone Speedway Returns To Racing With Lockdown Showdown
Story By: STEVEN PETTY / HUMBERSTONE SPEEDWAY – PORT COLBORNE, ONT – The New Humberstone Speedway will return to racing on June 13, 2020, with the Lockdown Showdown, featuring the $2000 to win feature for DIRTcar 358 Modifieds and $1000 to win event for the JC Auto Thunderstocks.
Racing will take place without fans in the grandstands and all drivers and crews will be practicing social distancing. “The speedway is continuing to follow all the recommendations established by the Ontario Ministry of Health to keep everyone safe”, comments Humberstone Speedway Promoter Dave Bitner Jr.
The program including heat races will begin at 7:00 pm sharp and can be seen live on REV TV Canada, formerly MAVTV Canada, and can be streamed worldwide for FREE on GForceTV.net Calling the action will be longtime Canadian announcers Greg Calnan and Adam Ross in the booth with Clinton Geoffrey handling the action trackside.
The trio will also be joined by Humberstone Speedway announcer Steven Petty providing commentary. The program will feature the 25-lap feature for the Thunderstocks and a 50-lap DIRTcar 358 Modified feature which will be split into two 25-lap segments.
Drivers who “lockdown” after the first segment will keep their position on the track. Drivers who go to the pits and make adjustments will line up behind the “lockdown” cars in the staging lane.
Drivers will have to pre-register for the event. The cost is $250 per team (including driver and four crew members). Pre-registration is underway, and drivers are urged to contact Humberstone Speedway at (905) 407-5744.

The Club 54 Weekly Racing Series features the Cosco Haulage DIRTcar Sportsman, Pro Fabrication Late Models, JC Auto Thunderstocks, and the Glo & Go Tanning Mini Stocks. In 2020, the Pro 4 Trucks will be racing with the Mini Stocks.
