Port Royal’s Short Track Super Series ‘Speed Showcase’ Rescheduled For October 18th

Story By: BRETT DEYO / SHORT TRACK SUPER SERIES – PORT ROYAL, PA – Unfortunately, the COVID-19 crisis claimed the original ‘Speed Showcase’ date at Port Royal Speedway on March 22.

But there is good news: the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco will visit the ‘Speed Palace’ in 2020.

Port Royal promoter Steve O’Neal, STSS organizer Brett Deyo and Chris Zuver from the Zimmer Service Center United Late Model Series (ULMS) have mutually agreed to reschedule the fan-pleasing Modified/Super Late Model doubleheader for Sunday, October 18 at the Juniata County facility.

“Our annual stop at Port Royal has become a destination event for Modified fans in three short years,” STSS promoter Brett Deyo said. “We are fortunate to have secured a new date this year so the event can go on, and we can bring two headline divisions together with the ULMS Super Late Models on the card.”

The event will offer points toward the STSS Velocita-USA South Region presented by Design for Vision and Sunglass Central.

A complete time schedule will be released in the coming weeks.

The STSS website and social media channels will be updated frequently with information on upcoming events.
