RPW Column: Situation At Phillipsburg Mall Leaves 2020 Dirt Track Heroes Show In Jeopardy

RPW Column By: MIKE TRAVERSE / RPW – PHILLIPSBURG, NJ – There have been 12 previous editions of the popular Dirt Track Heroes Car Show. Recent developments at the mall have put the 13th edition into doubt.

According to an article posted by WFMZ-TV reporter Will Lewis, the tenants at the mall have received eviction notices that say they have 30 days to vacate the premise.

The mall has been in decline for many years and many were surprised that the 12th annual show went off in March. Nevertheless, it was once again a popular show and many cars of yesteryear filled the mall and many of the great racers from the past joined in with fans to make the show once again a success.

According to Facebook posts, there is a signed contract for the 13th edition to occur in late February, but the latest developments put this in doubt.

Rumors have been floating around about a possible new location for the show, but there has been nothing official noted.

Race Pro Weekly will post and additional information as it becomes available.
