Skylar Gee Ready For Texas Motor Speedway Return With ASCS Sprints

Story By: BRYAN HULBERT / SKYLAR GEE RACING – LEDUC, ALBERTA – Earning the CP-Carrillo Hard Charger of the Night to open his 2018 season at the Devil’s Bowl Speedway with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by Sawblade.com, Skylar Gee is determined to carry that speed into this weekend as the Strongs Crane Service/BDS Motorsports No. 99 returns to the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track for Tony Stewart presents the Vankor Texas Sprint Car Nationals.

“Last year was not good and I am determined to turn that around,” commented Gee whose weekend at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track one year ago yielded a 12th place finish in Friday’s preliminary A-Feature, only to miss the cut the following night.

With a year’s worth of changes in his favor with BDS Motorsports and Bryan Sundby on the wrenches, Skylar feels confident in goals for the weekend.

“We had a great run to start the season at the Devil’s Bowl, and I want to keep that going, keep in the top-five, and start near the front where I can race with Sam, Wayne, Roger, and see if I can beat those guys. We’ve found something with our cars that I think can pay off with our big track program where we can get out of the Heat Races and start closer to the front.”

Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7, Tony Stewart presents the Vankor Texas Sprint Car Nationals gets underway at 7:30 P.M. (CT). The BDS Motorsports Team will have their T-Shirt Trailer setup under the grandstands of the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track with a new lineup of shirts for Skylar Gee, BDS Motorsports, and the American Sprint Car Series for sale.
