American Legion Night Plus Super 7 Show This Friday Evening At Outlaw Speedway

Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – With less than a handful of point races remaining at the Outlaw Speedway including a September 3 Double Point Night to wrap up the 2021 regular season, track owner, Tyler Siri will welcome to the track on August 20, representatives of the American Legion.

On the speedway it will be a Regular Super 7 show featuring all of Outlaw’s regular classes of competition. The Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Modifieds will head up the show along with the Lane’s Yamaha 360 Sprint’s.

With the top four in each division all within striking distance of a Track Championship it will be a real push to the September 3 point finale to see who will claim the title in each respective class.

Also, on the August 20 card it will be Sunrise Insulation American Racer Tire Crate Sportsman divisions with all eyes on third generation teen sensation, Alex Payne who has positioned himself to perhaps win the track titles in both sportsman divisions. A feat which has not been accomplished since Glen Whritenour did it when he won both the IMCA Modified and Street Stock titles in 2018.

In the Stan’s No Tubes Street Stocks Whritenour has what many might consider an insurmountable point lead, but with Double Points on the line for the September 3 event a lot could change in GW’s quest to make it back-to-back Street Stock Championships and 5 in the last 6 seasons.

Mark Minutolo is what appears to be on his way to a third NAPA Hobby Stock Track title in the last four seasons. He and Brian Lloyd have distanced themselves from the rest of the pack and it looks like a two-horse race from now till the point finale.

Last but certainly not least the Winner’s Circle Deli Mini Stocks find a trio of competitors in the hunt for the 2021 championship. Scott Lehman on consistency and Kenneth Evans with multiple feature wins are in a neck-to-neck battle with 2017 Track Champ, Mike Stone lurking.

Free Camping is available at the track all weekend with free rides on the Outlaw Speedway Monster Truck, Outlaw Crusher throughout the night.

For constant updates leading up to the August 20 event including pit and grandstand gate times along with admission prices, start times as well as any weather-related matters go to the track Facebook.
