Ryan Krachun Heading To Big Diamond & Bridgeport During The 2021 Racing Season

Story By: PETE MACDONALD / RYAN KRACHUN RACING – BRANCHBURG, NJ – Branchburg, NJ’s Ryan Krachun has set some aggressive weekly plans for his 2021 season that includes weekly action at two speedways in two different states.

Coming off of a successful 2020 season which saw the 22-year-old speedster pick up 10 top-5’s and 19 top-10’s in 37 starts including a Delaware Dirt Track State Championship win in Small-Block Modified competition at the Delaware International Speedway, Krachun is ready to get back behind the wheel for 2021.

“I’m excited for the 2021 season. I’m really looking forward to racing multiple nights a week,” said Krachun. “We tried some new things at the end of the year last year and we ended pretty strong.”

After a couple seasons away, Krachun plans on returning to the Big Diamond Speedway in Minersville, PA for weekly 358 Modified competition. In 29 weekly starts at Big Diamond, Krachun has amassed eight top-5 and 22 top-10 finishes including a fourth and a second in the Diamond Nationals to end the season there in 2020.

“There is a stiff level of competition at Diamond with all those guys that have been running up front for longer than I have been alive. It will take our best effort, but I feel that we can contend for a championship there,” revealed Krachun.

For Saturday nights in 2021, Krachun will be moving to the Bridgeport Motorsports Park in Swedesboro, NJ. Krachun was fast in limited Bridgeport Motorsports Park appearances throughout the 2020 season ending with a fifth place finish to go along with his four top 10’s at the all new 4/10 mile high-banked oval.

“We ran at Bridgeport quite a bit last year, I feel like we have found a home there thanks to Doug Rose and all the fans,” Krachun said. “It’s easily one of the most fun tracks I’ve ever raced at, it’s the only place that you can see Modifieds six wide at times, the level of racing there is something I want to be a part of. We will still support New Egypt as much as possible, they are great people there that have supported me throughout my career and I will still be there as much as I can.”

To the best of their ability, Krachun will also compete in a number of Short Track Super Series South region events.

A four car fleet of Bicknell and Teo Pro Cars will be at Krachun’s disposal powered by Morgantini Racing Engines for the 2021 racing season.

“After a crazy 2020, I want to leave the race track with a smile on my face no matter what we do,” said Krachun who at the age of 16 and in just his first ever Modified feature picked up a win at the New Egypt Speedway in 2015.
