Second Grandview Win Of 2020 Season Saturday Night For Brett Kressley
Story By: ERNIE SAXTON / GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – For the second time this season Orefield, PA’s Brett Kressley was able to drive to victory at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night picking up the top spot in the 30-lap NASCAR T.P.Trailers Modified feature.
Earlier in the month Kressley had won the Forrest Rogers Memorial which earned him $10,000. Finishing a close second was defending champion Duane Howard. Mike Gular came home third.
For the first time in his career Chuck Eckhart was able to win the 25-lap T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman feature with Chris Esposito chasing him across the finish line.
The win made Eckhart the ninth different Sportsman feature winner of the season. Brad Arnold earned the third place position.
Veteran racer Rick Laubach grabbed fourth in the Modified main event followed by Kyle Weiss.
In the Sportsman feature point leader Brian Hirthler came home fourth followed by Scott Kohler.
The month of August closes out for Saturday night stock car racing on the 29th with a tripleheader show that features the T.P. Trailers Modifieds, T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman and Excel 600 Modifieds. Adult admission for the tripleheader is $18 while youngsters under are 12 admitted free.
Racing gets the green at 7:30 p.m.And on Saturday September 5 the Modifieds and Sportsman will be in action. Just two point events left in the season. Added on this night is an event creating a lot of excitement the first “Hard Charger Challenge” which will feature racers not in the top 15 in Modified standings and have never won a Modified feature at Grandview.
