“Pad The Purse” Program At Lernerville Reallocates Funds To Include Four $3,000 Nights
Story By: GARY HEEMAN / LERNERVILLE SPEEDWAY – SARVER, PA – With the cancelling of the originally scheduled Opening Night of Fab4 Racing Revved Up with Marburger’s on April 24 and now with Butler County not being on Governor Wolf’s initial list of counties scheduled to reopen May 8, Opening Night 2020 is in a state of limbo and further postponed until at least Friday, May 15.
As such, and after consulting with Phil DiLucente, the Tomson family has decided to defer the Pad the Purse monies, ($2,000 per night each from April 24 and May 8), to four special Fab4 events on the 2020 schedule. On these four selected nights, each position within the top 10 of the two selected divisions that night will receive an extra $150 instead of the traditional $100 per position as previously announced in the Pad the Purse Program presented by Phil DiLucente and Associates. The four special Fab4 events that will be $3,000 nights are Opening Night (whenever that may be), the Mid-Season Championships (June 19), Christmas in July (July 10), and Championship Night (August 21).
The Tomson family remains committed to commencing the 2020 season of Don Martin’s Lernerville Speedway as soon as the Governor reopens the county in a way that will allow them to safely provide the drivers and track employees the opportunity to put on the quality of racing the finest race fans in the world have come to expect at The Action Track. We continue to work closely with local, county and state officials to develop a plan to both meet the CDC and DOH guidelines, and provide quality family entertainment.
