Three Heavy Hitters Re-Up For Full-Time Super DIRTcar Series Action In 2020

Information By: SUPER DIRTCAR SERIES – CONCORD, NC – Three heavy hitters in Modified racing have declared their plans to return to run the entire Super DIRTcar Series for the 2020 racing season.

‘Super’ Matt Sheppard, who finished second in Series points this past season, will be back full-time in 2020 looking for his eighth career Super DIRTcar Series title. With a Series leading eight wins in 2019, Sheppard will be aiming at regaining the crown he lost last season to Mat Williamson.

The Series will welcome back Jimmy Phelps and the HBR Racing Team for another year of full-time Series Big Block Modified action. Jimmy finished sixth in Series points last year with one win and eight top five runs.

Some call the third driver to sign up recently Erick the Great. Some say he’s The Firestarter. Sometimes the crowd chants Rudy, Rudy, Rudy, but you know him as Erick Rudolph.

Rudolph is back for another full-time season on the Super DIRTcar Series after finishing the 2019 campaign in fifth.
