Steve Paine Looks To Defend Dutch Hoag Memorial Mod Win At Outlaw Speedway October 19th

Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – Seneca Falls, NY veteran, Steve Paine will be looking to defend his Dutch Hoag Memorial Triple 7’s win when the Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Modifieds compete in the $7,000 to win, 70 lap feature event on Saturday, October 19.

Named in honor of perhaps one of the region’s best ever modified drivers, Dutch Hoag’s name was synonymous with the Upstate Region of New York and in keeping with tradition Outlaw Speedway track owner, Tyler Siri and his partner, Jordan Lynch will once again bring Hoag’s name to the fore front with the running of this annual event.

“Dutch Hoag was one of the best ever to cinch up the belts and we were very fortunate to have had him compete in this region throughout most of his illustrious career. It is again a real pleasure for us to continue with the tradition of hosting the Hoag Memorial Weekend at the Outlaw Speedway.” That according to Tyler Siri. The purse for the Dutch Hoag Triple 7’s 70 lap feature has been boosted with the winner again receiving a whomping $7 grand for the win and $700 just to start.

The second day of events of the 2018 Dutch Hoag Weekend were postponed not once but twice due to inclement weather with the latter being the final opportunity to get the event in prior to winter. An early November snowfall closed the books on the season and thus the events were pushed back till April of 2019 where Paine came away victorious.

The Hurricane would like to back up his Dutch Hoag win of earlier this season; however he will have to contend with the like of Super Matt Sheppard who has already picked up ten feature wins at Outlaw Speedway thus far along with the 2019 Track Title to go along with his 2017 Championship.

Sheppard has basically mirrored “17” not only racking up the wins at Outlaw Speedway but at virtually every track he unloads his potent number 9 machine.

AJ Slideways, Alan Johnson, fresh off a win at the 4th Annual Fall Nationals at the Yates County oval will be looking to go back to back in the win column.

Other hungry competitors including track regulars Cory Costa, Brady Fultz and Justin Wright along with Eldon Payne and of course Outlaw Speedway owner, Boss Man Tyler Siri and his hired gun, The Doctor Danny Johnson will all be gunning for the win and the $7,000 pay day.

All gate times as well as ticket prices for both Friday and Saturday of the 4th Annual Dutch Hoag Memorial Weekend can be found by going to www.Facebook.com/OutlawSpeedwayLLC/.

Outlaw Speedway offers free camping and free parking all weekend and free rides on the Outlaw Crusher Monster Truck start when the main gates open. There will also be a mouthwatering chicken bbq on Saturday.
