Collins Holds Slim Point Lead In Outlaw American Racer Series Chase Entering Fall Nationals

Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – Entering night two of the 4th Annual Fall Nationals Event schedule for Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Outlaw Speedway, Tommy Collins Jr holds a very slim pointy lead over the rest of the field in the Sunrise Insulation Outlaw Speedway American Racer Tire 602 Crate Sportsman Series Championship.

Even though all of the regular class titles for the divisions that compete weekly at Outlaw Speedway have been decided, there is still a pair of series events left to decide the overall champion in the American Racer Tire shod class.

Collins Jr., who has had a very consistent 2019 at Outlaw Speedway, will be looking to solidify his point lead with a win on the September 21, 2019 event having come off an impressive tie for third place in the regular season point championship tally in the Sunrise Insulation American Racer Division. The final point event of the Outlaw Speedway American Racer Tire Series will take place as part of the Annual Dutch Hoag Memorial Weekend on October 18 and 19.

However, Collins need not look very far over his shoulder as a slew of hungry Crate Sportsman drivers will be nipping at his rear bumper. Top runners like 2019 Outlaw Speedway feature winner, Kenny Hammond, 2018 weekly Track Champion, Chris Fisher, 2019 Hoosier Tire Crate Sportsman Track Champion, Will Shields, 2017 Crate Sportsman Track Champ, Karl Comfort and 2019 regular season Track Champion, Brian Fish will all be gunning for the win and the momentum heading into Dutch Hoag Weekend.

Also on the card for the Saturday night, September 21 segment of the 2 day Fall Nationals it will be a complete show of the Wonderful Winged 360 Sprints with the winner claiming a nice $5 grand paycheck. The Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Modifieds will run the 50 lap Gunslinger paying the winner $3 grand. The classy looking Stan’s No Tubes Street Stocks race for a winner’s share of $1,000 to the victor. Rounding out the full night of competition will be the Marion Decker Insurance sponsored IMCA Modified Fast shaft, $1,000 to win and Hobby Stocks, $500 to the winner.

A Chicken Bar B Q will be available both nights as well as free rides on the Outlaw Speedway Monster Truck, Outlaw Crusher.

As always free camping will be available all weekend long. Fans and campers are encouraged to come early on both dates as both camping and parking sports will be at a premium, however overflow parking is available just a very short walk from the main gates.
