Story By: BOB MILLER / THUNDER ON THE HILL – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – The Pennsylvania 410 Sprint Speedweek Series invades the Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, July 2 as the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series celebrates their 30th anniversary season. The 35 lap 410 sprint feature will pay a hefty $10,000 to the winner. Thunder on the Hill and the Grandview Speedway joined the PA SpeedWeek series in 1995, just shortly after the first ever series in 1991. The SpeedWeek event did fall to rain in both 1995 and 1996 with Fred Rahmer winning the first SpeedWeek event at Grandview in 1997. Since that first event, Grandview completed seventeen SpeedWeek events with victories going to Fred Rahmer a five time winner, Greg Hodnett with three wins, Lance Dewease, Tyler Walker and Kyle Larson each have two wins and Billy Pauch, Todd Shaffer and Chad Kemenah all have single wins. Kyle Larson won the last two SpeedWeek events on the one-third mile Grandview Speedway.

Since 1991 PA SpeedWeek has presented one-hundred and ninety-seven races visiting twelve different track and producing forty-two different event winners. Fred Rahmer leads all drivers with thirty SpeedWeek victories followed by Greg Hodnett and Lance Dewease each with twenty-six wins. Stevie Smith (11) and Danny Dietrich (9) round out the top five SpeedWeek winners.

So who won the SpeedWeek Championships? Fred Rahmer won thirteen titles, followed by Greg Hodnett (5), Lance Dewease (3), Lucas Wolfe (3), and Danny Dietrich and Steve Smith each have one championship. Greg Hodnett was the SpeedWeek Champion in 2018.
