Wing Champ Racing Series Ready To “ROCK” For A Good Cause & Kick Of Racing Season In Style

JOHNSVILLE, NY – A race and a concert…usually that type of event is reserved for a weekend at a NASCAR event However, for those who will be attending the Wing Champ Racing Series Season Opener at Caroga Creek Speedway on Saturday, May 11th, it’ll feel just like that.

Series Promoter Tom Varin has put together an amazing experience for the first event of their kart season. Not only will some of the area’s best Winged Champ Kart racers do battle at one of the fastest tracks around, but those who go to watch will be able to see up and coming Rock Band “Reality Suite” perform pre-race.

The concert is free of charge, but the series will be collecting donations for Baby Cinto’s Fight. Jacinto Falcon III was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor called Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid when he was 2 months old and the series is trying to help raise money to help out (donations are not mandatory to attend).

“Reality Suite found out that we are a Not-For-Profit Series,” Varin said. “They asked what they could do to help. I said how bout you come ROCK Upstate NY with you’re unique kick ass music. They said absolutely!”

The concert will be a family-friendly experience at the track so bring everyone out for a great day of music and then some amazing racing action.

Speaking of the racing. Saturday will be the opening round of the Wing Champ Racing Series for 2019. Hot laps are scheduled to roll off at 4:00pm. Classes include a $500-To-Win Adult Wing Champ race along with a $500-To-Win Stock Heavy Northeast Pro Series (NEPRO) race.

Also racing will be the Rampage, 10-15 Pro, 5-9 Pro, 5-9 Novice WCRS Classes to go with the NEPRO Jr. 2 Gold plate. All classes are competing for the 2019 Championship.

If you come for the concert and stay for the racing, a pit pass will be just $12 with a green wrist band. Those bands will be provided to you if you donate to Baby Cinto’s Fight. Otherwise, a pit pass will be just $15.

You can come for just the concert or stay for the racing action. The whole day will be a family-friendly atmosphere. Come enjoy an amazing day as the Wing Champ Racing Series kicks off 2019 in style!
