Kyle Larson’s Ready For 2019; Set To Make Sprint Car Debut At Volusia
Story By: ANDREA LARSON / KYLE LARSON RACING – MOORESVILLE, NC – Next week, NASCAR star Kyle Larson will climb behind the wheel and get to play in the dirt at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla.
He is set to pilot the KLR No. 1k Chevrolet Accessories 410ci sprint car Wednesday through Friday with hopes of competing on Sunday depending on his results from the Clash at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla., which will be held earlier that day.
#FLinFEB: The annual DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park kicks off Wednesday, February 6 for two nights of racing with the All Star Circuit of Champions. Following that, the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series will take to the track for three nights of competition. Larson has competed at the semi-banked, half-mile circuit four times. In 2017, while behind the wheel of the Tony Stewart Racing No. 14, he earned a runner-up score after starting 15th. Last year, Larson earned two top-10 finishes.
OFF SEASON RECAP: When the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) season comes to an end, Larson’s dirt season picks up. He’s run 12 races over the last two-and-a-half months, tallying an amazing eight top-two finishes. The 26-year-old picked up the World 30 Lapper and King of the Springs wins at Western Springs Speedway in Auckland, NZ. He also took home the checkered flag in his preliminary night at the Chili Bowl Nationals.
