Peter Britten & Ray Graham Part Ways For The 2019 Racing Season

Story By: BOBBY CHALMERS / PETER BRITTEN RACING – WEEDSPORT, NY – Just a few months removed from winning on the biggest stage at Super DIRT Week, Peter Britten has announced that he and car owner Ray Graham have decided to part ways for 2019.

“After a couple of months of talks between Ray and myself, he’s decided to go down a different path for next season,” Britten said. “With that, we’ve parted ways, but I can’t thank him enough for the chance to run his cars.”

Even though they won’t be racing together anymore, Britten’s very grateful for the opportunities that the Graham Racing Team offered him.

“It was great to drive for someone like Ray,” he said. “I know what a huge commitment it is to fund a full-time team on the Super DIRTcar Series and multiple other races like we did. I’ve learned a lot and grown as a person through my experiences with the Graham Racing Team. Even though we’re going our separate ways, I’m sure the friendships I’ve made will continue into the future.”

Now, with this announcement comes the possibility of many new options for the Australian-born campaigner if he plans to continue his growth as a driver here in the United States.

“Honestly, nothing’s set in stone right now,” he said. “It appears like I’ll be running my own equipment again, but where and how much is up in the air. My intent is to run the Super DIRTcar Series again and do some weekly racing, but we have a lot to work through in order to make that happen.”

Britten may be working on his own program for the new year, in regards to equipment and sponsorship, but is open to all opportunities that may be available.

“I love racing and want to be as successful as I can,” he said. “Putting the right pieces together to contend for wins and championships is my number one goal, and what I’m working to achieve in 2019.”

More news about Peter’s racing plans will be forthcoming as it develops.
