Saturday will feature more heat and humidity. New York State, Pennsylvania into the northern Mid Atlantic will run the risk for showers and storms during the morning into the early afternoon.

Then things should become drier. The trough will interact with a piece of offshore energy, enhancing rain and thunderstorm chances over New England. Not sure why the SPC doesn’t have a higher risk for the eastern part of Southeast New York State and Southern New England. There will be a risk for severe weather over this area.

The areas north of the Mohawk Valley and northern New England that really need the rain, will have a hard time seeing much out of all this today and tomorrow.
