Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – With Mother Nature the only winner at the Outlaw Speedway on Friday, June1, 2018 representatives of both the Outlaw Speedway and the Sweeney Chevrolet Rush Crate Late Model Series have come to an agreement on a make-up date for the Gary Montgomery Night which will be held on July 20.

All the top cars and stars that compete regularly on the Vicki Emig promoted, Sweeney Rush Crate Late Model Series will converge on the Yates County Speed Plant all looking for the Gary Montgomery Memorial Trophy. Also on the card it will be the Decker Farmers Insurance Agency sponsored IMCA Modifieds and Hobby Stocks as well as the 4 cylinders and the Winners Circle Deli Bandits.

One on one spectator races will also be a part of the program for the, Friday, July 20, 2018 event.

Pit gate and grandstand opening times as well as all ticket prices along with all other pertinent information can be found on the track web site at www.outlawspeedwayllc.com.

“Unfortunately Mother Nature won out on June 1 when we had the 2nd Annual Gary Montgomery Event scheduled at the track, stated Tyler Siri Outlaw Speedway track owner. Fortunately we were able to secure a make-up date for the event on July 20, 2018 which will put the Crate Late Models squarely in the lime light. Vicki Emig, Mike Leone and all their staff and followers have done an absolutely fabulous job in making the Sweeney Chevrolet Rush Crate Late Models into one of the premier touring series not only in this area, but across the entire country. Gary Montgomery was very instrumental in turning many of the local 360 Late Models drivers into household names during his tenure with the BRP Can AM Series. Many of those same drivers are now the top runners in the Rush Crate Late Model Series. This is a perfect fit having Gary’s name tied in with an event of this magnitude.”

John Waters, Jason and Brian Knowles, Wayne Robertson, Steve LaBarron, Jeremy Wonderling and Chad Homan are just a few of the top guns that will be on hand at Outlaw on July 20 all looking for the Gary Montgomery Memorial 30 lap A Main win. Last years’ inaugural event was won by Canisteo, NY native, Bryce Davis in a real nail biter.

Free rides around the facility on the Outlaw Speedway Monster Truck, “Outlaw Crusher” will start at 5:30 pm and campers are encouraged to bring their rigs and set up at the track absolutely free of charge.
