Plenty Of Bonus Money Available Friday At Big Diamond Speedway

Story By: KENNETH BRUCE / BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAY – MINERSVILLE, PA – When the cars hit the track this Friday night at Big Diamond Speedway for the 2nd annual Dave Kamp Memorial Night, there will be plenty of bonus money available to all the racers in all four divisions.

The Mattera’s Electrical and General Contracting Modified division will compete this Friday night for a cool $4000 to win the feature event. The Modfieds will also compete in $300 to win Dave Kamp Memorial Cash Dash for the night’s heat winners sponsored by Red, White and Blue Auto Sales. Coming off last Friday night’s exciting win, Duane Howard has moved into the second spot in the battle for the points title behind leader Ryan Godown.

In the USS Achey Sportsman division, the winner of the 20-lap feature event will pay a total of $1300 thanks to a $300 bonus courtesy of Pioneer Pole Buildings. The Sportsman division led by 13-year-old Alex Yankowski will also pay a $100 bonus given to the halfway leader of the feature event sponsored by Ric’s Service Center of Palo Alto. A $150 hard charger bonus sponsored by Ed’s USA Auto Rental will also be available Friday night to the division.

The always excited Savage 61 Road Runners will race for a total of $608 this Friday thanks to a $158 feature winner bonus sponsored by Greg’s Auto Service and Collision. There will be plenty of other extra bonus money available to the division as well. Detweiler Towing will put up $100 for the Hard Charger of the race with another $100 bonus given to the leader at the halfway point courtesy of LDS Customes. Road Runner driver Shon Elk and Elk Motorsports will also give out a $100 bonus to the night’s hard luck driver.

Returning to action this Friday night after a week off will be the No Sweat Service Group Street Stock division. Not to left out, the Street Stocks will race for a cool payout of $900 to win their feature race. Included in that amount is a $400 bonus sponsored by Ken’s Tire. The feature race will also include a $150 bonus given out to the night’s hard charger sponsored by State Farm Insurance Agent Jeremy Buchinsky. The leader of the main event at the halfway point will also awarded a $100 bonus courtesy of Shollenberger and Sons Garage, Port Carbon. LDS Customes will also award a $100 bonus to the “Tuff Luck” driver of the night.

There will also be a $150 Dave Kamp Memorial Decal Contingency Award. 100 decals will be printed and given out on a first come, first serve basis. The decal must be placed on the right side of the car as soon as available on race night.

Gates open at 5:30pm with warmups starting at 7:30

General admission for this Friday is $20, Kids 10-11 are $10 with Kids under 10 free. Senior admission is $18 and as always active Military with ID are free.
