Huge Two-Night Weikert Memorial Coming To Port Royal May 26th & 27th

Story By: SHAWN BROUSE / PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY – PORT ROYAL, PA – The upcoming Packer’s Concessions Bob Weikert Memorial Weekend at Port Royal Speedway on May 26 and 27 will offer sprint car drivers and late model drivers over $100,000 in purse money during the course of the huge two-night event.

The Northeast Ultimate Super Late Model Series will sanction both nights of super late model action at the track.

Saturday night features the annual Fallen Heroes Championships for the 410 sprints and the super lates, run in honor of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice on the Port Royal clay.

The sprint cars will race Saturday for $5,000 to win and $400 to start while the NUSLMS races for $3,000 to win and $400 to start.

Both Saturday features will be 30 laps in distance.

Sunday’s big Weikert Memorial mains offer $10,000 to win and $500 to win for sprints and $5,000 to win and $400 to start for the late models.

The Sunday sprint car main will be a 30-lapper while the late models compete in a 35-lap feature race.

Hard Charger Awards will be offered for each division each night with the Saturday Hard Chargers getting locked into Sunday’s mains.

Fast Time Awards will also be given in each class both nights.

The weekend offers a rare opportunity for fans to see both of the tracks premier divisions in action on back to back nights at the speedway.

The May 26 and 27 program will be the first time in history that a two-date super late model program has been held at the historic oval.
