Brock Zearfoss Continues Central PA Sprint Car Top-Ten Streak

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BROCK ZEARFOSS RACING – JONESTOWN, PA – Increasing his 2018 top-ten total to three consecutive, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss earned back-to-back top-ten finishes in Central Pennsylvania during the recent weekend, finishing tenth at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, March 30, followed by a sixth place performance during the Port Royal Speedway season opener on Saturday, March 31.

Despite the consistency, the pair of top-ten finishes did not come easy.

Racing as high as sixth in the running order when disaster struck, Zearfoss’ top-ten streak was in jeopardy on Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway, nearly forced to retire early from main event action after suffering from a flat tire. Fortunately, the Jonestown, Pa., native was able to bounce back and rally from the tail of the field for a tenth place finish. Zearfoss started the 25-lapper from the inside of row seven.

“It was great to bounce back for a top-ten on Friday, but I think we were much better than that,” Zearfoss explained, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing/Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Meckley’s Limestone/Central Builders Supply Co./Berkebile Oil Company/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/No. 3Z sprint car. “Regardless, it was a great effort by our team. I’m proud of everyone involved. We have a lot of racing coming up this weekend. We’ll do whatever we can to keep our top-ten streak alive.”

Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue action with a trio of Central Pennsylvania starts during the upcoming weekend, first revising the world-famous paperclip at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, April 6, for a Yellow Breeches event awarding a minimum of $500 to each starter.

On Saturday, April 7, the defending Port Royal Speedway track champion will return to the Juniata County Fairgrounds for another round of weekly action, followed by a visit to BAPS Motor Speedway, formerly known as Susquehanna Speedway, near York Haven, Pa., on Sunday, April 8.
