Paul Nienhiser To Pilot Loyet Motorsports Midget At Chili Bowl Nationals

Story By: PETERSON MEDIA FOR LOYET MOTORSPORTS – CHAPIN, IL – Taking a phone call from Joe Loyet at the beginning of December proved to be beneficial for Chapin, IL driver, Paul Nienhiser. When the conversation ended, Nienhiser was excited to say that he would be in a potent Loyet Motorsports midget for the 2018 Chili Bowl Midget Nationals.

“When Joe Loyet called me at the beginning of December and asked if I would drive one of his midgets at the Chili Bowl, it was an easy decision to say ‘yes’,” Paul Nienhiser said. “I have two previous Chili Bowl appearances, and I am very much looking forward to getting back after being away for a couple of years.”

Nienhiser, who is a regular aboard the Paul Nienhiser Racing No. 9 winged sprint car is set to make his third attempt at the Chili Bowl Midget nationals. His first two appearances came in 2014 and 2015, so after a few years away he is set to climb aboard one of midget racing’s most noticeable entries in 2018.

With limited seat time in a midget, the plan for Nienhiser and Loyet Motorsports is to test and tune a Belle-Claire Speedway to shake down a new No. o5 machine, and also get the Illinois pilot acclimated the a midget before making the trip to Tulsa, OK where he will hit the track on Thursday January 11th for his qualifying night aboard the BP Fab No. o5.

“I am really looking forward to this opportunity to run with the Loyet’s,” Nienhiser added. “We have a great group of drivers in our stable with Brad Loyet, Gary Taylor, Zane Hendricks, and myself, and hopefully we can all work well together and have a great showing at this year’s event.”
