Dreams Do Come True For Etienne Cliche

Column By: MATTHEW WIERNASZ / RPW – MOORESVILLE, NC – Etienne Cliche is living the dream. The young engineer out of Quebec had the dream of working in NASCAR or for a team. During the 2017 season, Cliche was an engineer for the Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

One of the races he enjoyed this year was the trip to New Hampshire Motor Speedway. It was close to home for Cliche as his family came down and supported him throughout the weekend.

Cliche will tell you when dreams do come true, you need to keep on going and follow your dreams.

” Its not easy. Its really nice to grab the chance to work with those guys. That’s really cool. I appreciate it.” Cliche Said

Cliche worked for Tommy Baldwin Racing during the 2016 season. Baldwin announced he was not running full time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series in 2017. Cliche will tell you its not easy to find work now in the NASCAR garage area.

” I was a little bit afraid but I got a very good hand from Tommy and Tommy knows RCR pretty well. Its pretty much because of Tommy and his contacts, I gotta job at RCR. I really appreciate everything he did for me.” Cliche Said

Cliche and his family are very close. They would always travel together and when they raced on the Valenti Modified Racing Series. A family that is really passionate about racing.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series will have their season finale race on Saturday afternoon at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
