Haas Ends Season With Top-Ten During Susquehanna’s Final Showdown
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / TRONE OUTDOOR MOTORSPORTS – YORK, PA – Cory Haas and the Trone Outdoor Motorsports team capped off their productive 2017 campaign back inside the top-ten, this time during Susquehanna Speedway’s Final Showdown on Saturday, October 28.
Haas finished eighth during his final start of the season, a result high enough to keep the York native inside the top-ten of the final Central PA Sprint Series presented by Hoseheads.com standings.
Despite ending the year without a trip to victory lane, Haas proved his competitiveness in 2017 by scoring a combined 20 top-ten finishes between the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway and Williams Grove Speedway, two of which resulting in top-five performances against the invading World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series and Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions; fifth and third, respectively.
“I’d say we had a pretty consistent season,” Haas explained, pilot of the Trone Outdoor Motorsports/Eagle Steel/Trone Outdoor Advertising/Eagle Evergreens/No. 39. “We were close to getting a win on a few different occasions, just short of where we needed to be. Regardless, I’m proud of the entire team. We showed a lot of speed this season at a few different tracks. We have a lot to build on, so hopefully we can put the next few months to good use and get a jump start on 2018.”
