Zearfoss Rallies For Top-Five At Mansfield; All Star Weekend Next
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BROCK ZEARFOSS RACING – JONESTOWN, PA – Utilizing an off week in the Port Royal Speedway schedule, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss made the tow to Mansfield (OH) Motor Speedway for the inaugural Great Lakes Dirt Nationals.
The near-six hour haul west proved to end in success as Zearfoss not only qualified for the $15,000-to-win main event amongst 63 entries, but he also charged from the outside of row six to finish fifth. It was Zearfoss’ first appearance at the state-of-the-art facility, planning to travel back in early 2018 for the World Championships worth $100,000.
“The night went a little longer that expected, but we stuck it out and it turned out to be a solid night for our team,” Zearfoss said, pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing/Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Meckley’s Limestone/Central Builders Supply Co./Berkebile Oil Company/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/No. 3Z. “I can’t say enough about my team right now. Things have been clicking all the way around and it’s exciting. We plan to make that continue this weekend when the All Stars come to town.”
Continuing a recent trend of big money battles, Brock Zearfoss will continue his 2017 campaign with a trio of programs in Central Pennsylvania, two of which against the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions. Zearfoss will join the traveling band of open wheelers at Williams Grove Speedway and Susquehanna Speedway on Friday and Sunday, August 18 & 20. Like prior starts, Zearfoss will pilot the Aaron Long-owned/H&N Landscaping/RV 4 Wheel Drive/Leahys Auto Body & Towing/No. 58 during his visit to Williams Grove Speedway. Each of the Arctic Cat All Star events will award a winner’s share equaling $5,000.
Between his Arctic Cat All Star appearances, Zearfoss will visit Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, August 19. The “Jonestown Jet” will enter the weekend with three victories on the season, one of which against the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at Williams Grove Speedway.
“I think we have what it takes to beat the All Stars,” Zearfoss said. “We are having a lot of fun right now. Fun and confidence is a great combination.”
