Holtgraver Wins Again; FAST Series Action On Deck

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / DANNY HOLTGRAVER RACING – PITTSBURGH, PA – A trend that he would like to see continue, “Downtown” Danny Holtgraver earned another trip to victory lane during 410ci sprint car competition, this time at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, during the Simon Yoder Memorial on Saturday, August 12.

The $3,000 victory, his second $3,000 victory of the season, was accomplished in impressive fashion; sweeping the entire evening program which included a heat race, dash and a 30-lap feature, ultimately lapping up to third place.

“This is starting to get fun again,” Danny Holtgraver explained. “[Sharon Speedway] was the best I felt all season. I think the obvious plan is to keep this streak going and hopefully get another one on Saturday when we head back to Mercer Raceway Park.”

Danny Holtgraver will return to competition on Saturday evening, August 19, back at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh native will join the Fremont, Ohio-based FAST Series at the Mercer County short track, chasing another $3,000 top prize. Holtgraver has already been victorious at Mercer Raceway Park in 2017, earning the annual Putzy Kekich Memorial worth $3,000 on Saturday, August 5. It was Holtgraver’s second Putzy Kekich title.

“I can’t thank everyone enough who has stuck behind me to make this season possible,” Holtgraver said. “Like discussed before, we don’t have a lot of races planned, but if things keep going like they are now, I’m sure we’ll add a few more here and there.”
