Scott Kreutter Sets The Winning Standard At Outlaw Speedway

Column By: EDWARD KOCHERSBERGER / RPW – DUNDEE, NY – It was quite warm and muggy on Friday night in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York. The heat was enough to drain the energy from anyone in attendance out Outlaw Speedway. But for Cowlesville New York’s Scott Kreutter, this may have just been a motivator to his drive. Kreutter was absolutely dominant in the Averdi Storage Containers Patriot Sprint Tour 25 lap main event at the 4/10 mile Dundee New York Oval.

Scott was extremely fast right out of the hauler and maintained this competitive attitude throughout the evening.

“The car was really good in hot laps. We did a bit of a gear change before the heat race. We nailed it. The car was spot-on. We put her to the top and let her dig. The heat went really well.”

Kreutter continued this momentum into the main event.

“For the feature we drew outside pole. I was really happy with this because I had a plan going into it just to run the top. We had to move around a little bit when we caught up to lap traffic. I think we caught them at around lap 5. It was pretty early on that we had to deal with a lot of lapped car. But the car was on rails. I gotta thank the Hoddicks for putting me in the car. I am really excited to get back. I haven’t been doing too much racing. You can’t win races if you are not out there. I am just trying to get in anything that I can and try to win races. That is the main goal.”

Kreutter just doesn’t talk about getting in anything he can. He backs it up with scheduling seat time. Scott is also a faithful competitor of the winter Indoor Auto Racing Championship Series for TQ Midget cars and Micro Sprints.

“I love the indoor stuff because it is aggressive and up on the wheel. The more aggressive the racetrack and better the cars, the more aggressive I get. That is what really drives me. I would rather race with the best. That is what it’s all about.”

Scott Kreutter was elated to be back at Outlaw Speedway. He is one driver that seems to enjoy the challenges that the track brings.

“The track was awesome. I have had some really good runs in the past. It is good to finally seal the deal here. I love coming here. It’s not a bullring. It’s a high paced fast track where you have to keep your momentum up. It was racy. I had the car on the top and the bottom in lap traffic. It was really fun.”

The road to victory for Scott Kreutter is always filled with variety. After this win Scott was scheduled to race with the NY6A 600 Micro Sprint Tour in a car owned by Danny Knoll at Raceway 5 in Batavia New York.

We never really know what Scott Kreutter will be driving next. What we do know is that whatever kind of car it is, he will be doing his best to drive it to the front and keep it there.
