Busy Week Ahead At Freedom Motorsports Park

Story By: CHARLIE LANGLOIS / FREEDOM MOTORSPORTS PARK – DELEVAN, NY – It will be a busy week at Freedom Motorsports Park as the postponed season opener will now take place this Friday, May 19. Primetime Energy Services and Pepsi night will feature the Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds, Tidds Towing DIRTcar Sportsman, Pioneer Ford Street Stocks and the Danny Heineman & Sons Plumbing Mini Stocks. The first green flag of the year is scheduled for 7:30 pm.

The racing week will get an early start as a practice has now been re-scheduled for Wednesday, May 17. Gates will open at 3:00 pm and hot laps will run from 4:00 pm till dark. Car registrations, technical inspections and Dirtcar licenses as well as season parking spots and pit pads will be available on May 17. All types of racecars are eligible to practice.

Sunday May 21 will find round two of practice with gates opening at 9:00 am. Hot laps will start at 11:00 am and the big $1000 to win 100 lap Enduro will get the green at approximately 2:00 pm. Day of the race Enduro entries are accepted. Again, all types of racecars are eligible to practice.

Pepsi is the official soft drink of Freedom Motorsports Park. The Checkered Flag Food Court shines with the joy of cola’s as all of your favorite ice cold Pepsi products are available at the track including Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Gatorade, Mountain Dew, Brisk, Sierra Mist, Mug Root Beer, Twister Orange Soda and Aquafina water.

Friday May 19 will be the first Modified race ever at Freedom Motorsports Park. Modified drivers from New York, Pennsylvania and Canada will be in competing at Freedom on a brand new clay surface. The track’s Outlaw Modified rules allow for an array of tire, chassis and engine combinations which should produce incredible racing.

Coming up on Friday May 26, it will be the third annual Ron Baker Memorial brought to you by Bob McKerrow & Sons RV, which will showcase the first visit of the Murphy’s Logging ULMS Super Late Models. They will also be at Freedom on July 14. The 2016 feature went down to the wire and was taken by Max Blair who will again be looking for the big payday on May 26.

Who will win the first Outlaw Modified feature winner at Freedom Motorsports Park? The grand opening of the 2017 season is this Friday, May 19. Bring the family out for a great night of racing at the area’s fastest 1/3 mile clay oval. Grandstands open at 6:00 pm and racing starts at 7:30. Adult grandstand admission for Friday May 19 is only $13, $12 for Seniors, $7 for Students (9-15) and kids under 8 are admitted free. It will be free admission to the Wednesday May 19 practice and admission for the Sunday May 21 100 lap Enduro and practice will be $10.
