Story By: STEVEN OVENS / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – With the 2017 season opener on the horizon, Woodhull Raceway owners and promoters Ted and Brandi White are thrilled to announce that all of the division sponsors from 2016 have returned for this season.

The third-mile Steuben County speed plant has a solid reputation for a loyal fan base as well as loyal track sponsors that return each year to support the racing action on the track. 2017 will see Insinger Performance, NAPA Auto Parts, SWL Awards & Photos, Joe Willcox Performance Automatics, Daugherty Auto Sales & Service as well as Woodhull Auto Supply will all return to their respective division sponsorships.

Insinger Performance, headquartered in Dushore, Pennsylvania, has been a faithful returning sponsor of Woodhull’s premier 370 Modified division with their Sunoco Race Fuels. Sunoco is the official race fuel of Woodhull Raceway, which is available for purchase each and every week right at the racetrack.

NAPA Auto Parts, with their locations in Addison, Bath, Corning, Lawrenceville, and Watkins Glen, will once again return as the division sponsor for the growing and popular Crate Sportsman Modified division. Boasting the largest car counts of any of Woodhull’s weekly divisions, the Crate Sportsman division will compete for more than just the weekly purse thanks to the Addison area NAPA location. Stay tuned to the official Woodhull Raceway website and social media accounts later this week for more information on how Woodhull racers and fans will benefit from a little added ‘NAPA Know How.’

SWL Awards & Photos of Elmira, NY returns this season to sponsor the Crate Late Model division as this class ushers in a new era on the High Banks. The 360 Late Model division was disbanded at the conclusion of 2016, in lieu of the addition of the Crate Late Models which will follow RUSH Dirt Late Model rules. SWL Awards & Photos is the industry-leader in unique award plaques, trophies and sublimation printing in the Southern Tier- with accounts at many local dirt tracks across New York and Pennsylvania and several traveling racing series.

Joe Willcox Performance Automatics of Westfield, Pennsylvania will return in a big way once again this season as the title sponsor of the Street Stock division and Woodhull Junior Fan Club. Owned and operated by Joe and Jean Willcox, JWPA is a trusted transmission and driveshaft specialist for racers all across the Northeast. With literally hundreds of checkered flags and double-digit championships earned each season, this company’s reputation speaks for itself. Stay tuned for more information forthcoming about Street Stock special events, a new event for 2017 and more information regarding the 2017 Junior Fan Program.

Not only a marketing partner but a racer himself- Chris Daugherty and his business Daugherty’s Auto Sales & Service will return as the Mini Stock and Woodhull Warrior youth mini stock division sponsors. Located in Odessa, NY, Daugherty’s offers a wide range of vehicle service needs as well as offering a variety of pre-owned vehicles suitable for any budget or need. Daugherty will participate as a sponsor for these divisions, but also compete in the 370 Modified division as well as select Crate Sportsman events.

Woodhull Auto Supply returns in 2017 to sponsor the competitive Front Wheel Drive division. Located in Woodhull, NY, Woodhull Auto Supply has been serving the Southern Tier with quality used and new aftermarket parts since 1986. They stock well over 30 acres of different model vehicles and ship parts out nationwide, using their online inventory search tool.

Also new to the fold this season will be the Hobby Stock division as a trial basis in 2017. There has been increased interest in an entry-level Hobby Stock class to return to ‘New York’s Toughest Bullring,’ and hopefully that will translate into a growing class over the course of the season. Several area speedways have divisions similar or with mirrored rules packages that could lead to growth of the division in the Southern Tier.
