State Of Emergency Forces Woodhull To Cancel Saturday’s Event; Working On Make-Up Date For Patriot Sprints
Story By: KENNY SHUPP / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – The most recent flooding activity in the Southern Tier of New York has caused major damage in the Woodhull area.
With a State of Emergency still in place, which includes several Steuben County, road and bridge closures along with NYS road closures it is uncertain when the ban will be lifted and numerous roads and bridges reopened to the traveling public.
That being said, the ownership of the Woodhull Raceway has decided to cancel the Saturday, August 21 program.
Mike Emhoff of the Patriot Sprint Tour along with Terry and Niki Brewer of the Woodhull Raceway are currently working on a make-up date.
A full press release on the matter will be issued later Friday.
The decision is made now to avoid a last- minute call and alleviate any unnecessary travel.
