Ian Madsen Flashes Speed; Strong Runs Abound For CJB Motorsports With All Star Sprints
Story By: NATALIE JACKSON / CJB MOTORSPORTS – CARLISLE, PA – With super sub Ian Madsen at the controls, CJB Motorsports turned in a solid weekend of racing with the All Star Circuit of Champions.
I-96 Speedway near Lake Odessa, Mich. was the first stop on the weekend (Friday, August 20th.) Madsen, in for Paul McMahan as he recovers from his accident at Knoxville Raceway, timed in fastest over, finished 4th in his heat race, won the dash and settled for a 13th place result after a bent front axle and top wing damage slowed the #5 machine.
The following night, the tour stopped into Waynesfield (Ohio) Raceway Park. Madsen timed in 5th, finished 4th in his heat race and 10th in the feature.
The RE Pierson Constructions, Nyce, Crete and Landis Block and Concrete, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Marchant Cattle Co. and High Performance Lubricants #5 team will now head for home as a four pack of events highlight their schedule to close out August. Here is the slate:
- 8/26/2021 – Grandview Speedway near Bechtelsville, Pa.
- 8/27/2021 – Williams Grove Speedway near Mechanicsburg, Pa.
- 8/28/2021 – Lincoln Speedway near Abbottstown, Pa.
- 8/29/2021 – BAPS Motor Speedway near Newberrytown, Pa.
Madsen will once again be in for McMahan.
