Craig Von Dohren Wins Fourth Of 2021 Season At Grandview Speedway Saturday Night
Story By: GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – Coming from 13th starting spot in the 30-lap NASCAR T.P. Trailers Modified feature defending champion Craig Von Dohren was able to charge to the front and win his 4th feature of the season at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night topping the 28 car starting field.
Close behind in second, having come from 19th starting position, was Jeff Strunk who was celebrating his birthday.
In the T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman feature, a 25 lapper starting 24 entries, Dylan Hoch was able to win his fourth of the season. Finishing second behind Hoch was Kyle Lillick.
Doug Manmiller had another strong effort in the Modified feature gaining a third place finish. Kevin Hirthler grabbed fourth followed by Ryan Grim.
Decker Swinehart came home third in the Sportsman main event followed by Jimmy Leiby and current point leader Kenny Gilmore.
Coming up on Saturday August 14th the 51st Annual Forrest Rogers Memorial, named in honor of the man who planned and built Grandview Speedway with the help of son Bruce, will take place. The 50-lap Modified Classic will reward the winner with $10,000 and that just may attract some visitors wanting to try for the big check. And the Sportsman will be part of the doubleheader show.
Meet & Greet will include Modified racer Kevin Hirthler along with Sportsman racers Brian Hirthler and Adrianna Delliponti plus young Jesse Hirthler. There will also be a Chapel on the Hill service at 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the first turn pavilion.
Adult admission is $30 while youngsters 6 thru 11 pay $10. Under 6 are admitted free.
Pits open at 4 p.m. All cars must be signed in by 6 p.m.
Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing getting the green at 7:30 p.m.
