Marty Kelly III & Demetrios Drellos Split Sportsman Feature Wins Saturday At Devil’s Bowl
Information By: JUSTIN ST. LOUIS / DEVIL’S BOWL SPEEDWAY – WEST HAVEN, VT – Marty Kelly III and Demetrios Drellos were both victorious in Sportsman action Saturday night at the Devil’s Bowl Speedway.
Kelly won a wildly unpredictable race in the first of two 20-lap features, after a late pass of both Joey Scarborough and Tanner Siemons.
While leader Scarborough was busy defending a move by Siemons, Kelly swooped under both in Turn 4 on lap 16 to steal the lead, and then Kelly held on through two green-white-checkered restarts for the win.
Drellos, who had a flat tire while leading the first feature, came from 16th at the start to drive past Don Mattison with three laps remaining for his third win of 2021.
Mattison, Drellos, and Alex Bell put forth an incredible battle at the front of the field in the second half of the race.
