Williams Grove Speedway To Race Under The Lights This Friday For First Time In ’21

Story By: SHAWN BROUSE / WILLIAMS GROVE SPEEDWAY – MECHANICSBURG, PA – The first race under the lights of the 2021 season at Williams Grove Speedway is slated for this Friday night, March 19 at 7:30 pm.

The Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint cars and the popular ULMS Late Models are on the program.

The sprint cars will race for another $5,500 payday in a 25-lap main while the super late models compete in a 30-lap main worth $3,000 to the winner.

The ULMS Late Models will be opening their circuit season with the show at Williams Grove on Friday.

A host of super late stars are expected to be on hand for the series opener including Gregg Satterlee, Max Blair, Colton Flinner, Mike Norris, Ross Robinson, Deshawn Gingerich, Bryan Bernheisel and others.

Last year at the track only one late model race was completed with Brandon Sheppard taking the win in a World of Outlaws event in August.

Gary Stuhler is the leading active driver on the all-time Williams Grove super late model win list with 22 victories.

Freddie Rahmer won his first-ever Williams Grove season opener for sprint cars to kickoff the 2021 racing season on March 14.

Adult general admission for Friday’s show is set at $20 with youth ages 13-20 admitted for just $10. Youth ages 12 and under are always admitted for FREE at Williams Grove Speedway.

Williams Grove Speedway will again host the 410 sprints and the super late models coming up on Friday, March 26, at 7:30 pm.

The super late model winner on that night will be an automatic qualifier for the May 16 Sagi Tribuite event at Hagerstown Speedway.
