American Flat Track Series Set To Return To Weedsport Speedway This Coming August
Story By: DAN KAPUSCINSKI / WEEDSPORT SPEEDWAY – WEEDSPORT, NY – The Progressive American Flat Track series released its 2021 schedule on Friday, announcing a return trip to Weedsport Speedway on Saturday, August 14.
The Progressive American Flat Track tour brings America’s Original Extreme Sport to fans across the country, with Weedsport remaining as their only stop within the state of New York in 2021.
“We’re excited to have American Flat Track back in our mix for 2021 as we continue to build a diverse schedule for the coming year,” said Weedpsort Speedway promoter, Jimmy Phelps. “Our New York Short Track event is unique to the overall AFT calendar and provides a special challenge for AFT riders and an exciting atmosphere for fans.”
The Weedsport event will be Round 11 of a 17-race slate for the Progressive American Flat Track series, which opens at Volusia Speedway Park in March and closes at the Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway in October.
Progressive AFT will join previously announced events at Weedsport Speedway including the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on Saturday, July 31, as well as four stops by the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds.
