Rico Abreu Knocks Out Three Top-Fives In Four Central Pennsylvania Starts

HELENA, CA – St. Helena, California’s Rico Abreu has certainly found his rhythm in Pennsylvania Posse Country, most recently scoring three top-five finishes in a four race stretch, highlighting all outcomes with a fourth-place performance during Lincoln Speedway’s Dirt Classic 7 featuring the All Star Circuit of Champions on Saturday, September 19.
The $20,000-to-win program welcomed over 50 of the nation’s finest open wheel competitors with Abreu utilizing a heat race victory to secure his place in the 40-lap finale.
Other weekend highlights include finishing second during Lincoln’s Weldon Sterner Memorial on Wednesday, September 16, as well as finishing fifth during BAPS Motor Speedway’s Kevin Gobrecht Classic on Thursday, September 17. Abreu’s top-five a BAPS was the result of row six,
Padding his season’s stat book, Abreu, driver of the Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing/Abreu Vineyards/Curb Records/Lucas Oil Products/Wiser Golf/Wiser Agency/Salty’s BBQ/Self Made Racing/Dancer Logistics/J. Davidson Scrap Metal/Whistle Stop Bar and Grill/No. 24 sprint car, now owns 30 top-ten finishes in 49 starts with 25 of those top-tens inside the top five.
“I think we had a pretty good weekend. We love coming to Pennsylvania, so anytime you can run well only makes the trip that much better,” Rico Abreu said, who owns six feature victories in 2020 including a PA Sprint Speedweek victory at Lincoln Speedway. “I just want to thank my team for all of their hard work, as well as the fans for coming out and supporting us. Rico Abreu and Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing will continue their 2020 campaign with a visit to Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 22-23. The inaugural Governors Reign featuring the All Star Circuit of Champions will highlight action at The Big E awarding $10,000 on Tuesday and $52,000 on Wednesday.
Other events solidified on Abreu’s upcoming schedule include a Wayne County Speedway visit for World of Outlaws action on Friday, September 25, followed by Selinsgrove Speedway’s National Open on Saturday, September 26. The Selinsgrove visit will award a $20,000 payday.
