Race Pro Weekly & The Racing Community Mourns The Passing Of “Bobco” Bob James
It is with great sadness that the Race Pro Weekly family reports that we’ve lost one of our own.
This Sunday morning, Bob James, known to many as “Bobco,” lost his courageous battle against cancer.
Bob was not only a valued member of the RPW family, he was also one of the best videographers around for decades. Bob spent many a night covering the racing action at Fonda Speedway, Devil’s Bowl, Albany-Saratoga, Lebanon Valley and Glen Ridge…just to name a few.
“I personally got to know Bob more over the last 10 years when he came to help us at RPW with our television show,” Editor-In-Chief Bobby Chalmers said. “Bob not only became a member of the staff. He became part of our family and I can tell you all of us are hurting right now. I will forever remember all of the conversations we had and thank him for the friendship. That’s what I’ll miss the most.”
Our hearts are broken right now and we ask that you keep Bob’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. They will need them more than ever right now.
God Speed Bobco!
