Bouc, Hill & Robinson Lead Division Point Standings Heading Into Friday At Georgetown

Story By: BRETT DEYO / GEORGETOWN SPEEDWAY – GEORGETOWN, DE – Danny Bouc (L&J Sheet Metal Modified), Matt Hill and Amanda Robinson (tie, RUSH Late Model) lead the Sunoco Championship Series point standings into Georgetown Speedway this Friday night, July 24.

For the 2020 season, Georgetown Speedway management – for the first time ever – opted to award points for the L&J Sheet Metal Modified, Chesapeake Paving/J.W. Brown Trucking Crate 602 Sportsman and RUSH Late Model divisions.

After two Modified events have been completed, Pipersville, Pa.’s Danny Bouc holds a slim lead over Billy Pauch Jr. in the battle for the $2,500 championship. Bouc has a four-point edge over Pauch Jr. (165-161). Ryan Watt is third with 146 points accrued.

In the RUSH Late Model division, there is a tie atop the points. Amanda Robinson and Matt Hill each have totaled 195 points. The RUSH champion takes home $750 at the end of the season.

Crate 602 Sportsman continue their championship battles at the Tuesday, August 25 ‘Blast at the Beach’ event.

Blue Hen Dispose-All presents a doubleheader of the L&J Sheet Metal Modifieds and Rapid Tire USAC East Coast Sprint Cars (wingless) on the progressively banked half-mile oval this Friday night, the first event in more than a month.

Joining the Modifieds and USAC East Coast Sprints are the RUSH Late Models ($1,000 to win, RUSH Weekly Series & Georgetown points), Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars, Little Lincolns, Delaware Super Trucks and Delmarva Chargers.

Grandstand admission is $20 (Adults), $16 for Seniors (ages 65 and up) and Students (ages 13-17), $10 for Kids (ages 9-12) and Children 8 and under are FREE.

Pit admission is $35, $10 for Kids (ages 6-12) and Children 5 and under are $2.

Pit and grandstand gates open at 5 p.m. Hot laps hit the track at 6:40 p.m. Racing gets underway at 7:30 p.m.

The speedway will be following CDC guidelines and social distancing requirements for the State of Delaware.
