Harli White Grabs Top 10 During Weekend Tune-Up At Monarch Motor Speedway
Story By: BRYAN HULBERT / HARLI WHITE RACING – WICHITA FALLS, TX – Taking advantage of this past Saturday’s action at Monarch Motor Speedway, Oklahoma’s Harli White made a late-race charge to seventh with the Sprint Car Bandit Series.
On the overall performance, Harli said, “It was an okay night for us. Struggled a little bit in the Feature. Car was to free. The fixed-wing and tire rule made it hard to get grip with the track being a slick as it was. I kept catching myself reaching for the wing valve to try and tighten the car up but about the last five laps the bottom laid a car width of rubber and I was able to pick off about five spots on a restart.”
Looking ahead, Harli will venture back to the “Lone Star State” for the West Texas Crude Nationals at West Texas Raceway in Lubbock, Texas on Tuesday, May 12, and Wednesday, May 13. Fans will not be permitted into the Grandstands.
“Our main goal this past weekend was to make sure the car was ready for Tuesday and Wednesday night,” stated White.
“It’s nice to see racing starting to come back and getting a chance to race for two nights, I’m excited. I can’t thank the track and everyone enough for inviting us to come race and want to thank everyone who supports this team. It’s been a strange year, but we’re ready to go.”
Both nights get underway at 8:00 P.M. (CT).
The 2020 season marks the 13th year of racing for Harli White. Racing full time with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, Harli will also mix in several events throughout the country when not on the road.
