Brockville Ontario Speedway’s 2020 Schedule Rolls Off The Presses

Story By: JIM CLARKE / BROCKVILLE ONTARIO SPEEDWAY – BROCKVILLE, ONT – Another exciting season of the dirt track action Southeastern Ontario race fans crave is waiting in the wings and set to leave the staging area Saturday, May 9th at Brockville Ontario Speedway.

The 2020 schedule kicks-off with the opening round of the Ogilvie’s Auto and Fleet Triple Crown – presented by Steve Polite Sand & Gravel – with 50 lap feature events for the DIRTcar Small Block and Sportsman-Modifieds. Also on the docket will be Rookie Sportsman, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks and Vintage Mods. Track owner and promoter Paul Kirkland and his team believe the power-packed launch is exactly what supporters are looking for after a winter away from the sport.

“We have an electrifying season in store for drivers, race teams and fans,” said Kirkland. “It’ll be the perfect mix of returning favourites, familiar faces in different places and some big surprises thrown into the pot. We’re looking to continue the momentum from last year’s 50th anniversary and our team is working hard to give everyone a memorable racing experience.”

As the second half century of action at The BOS gets ready for hot laps, Paul Kirkland pointed-out that there will be a couple of changes when the green flag flies to open the new schedule. Probably the biggest news to come out of the winter months is the introduction of the 1000 Islands RV 602 Crate Sprint Cars. The class will be part of the show on 7 selected regular season dates, beginning May 23rd. Also new in 2020 is the Thermo Stor Sail Panel Series for 358 Modifieds, with appearances on the schedule.

In addition to the Crate Sprinters, touring 360 Sprint Cars will visit Brockville Speedway twice during the year. Patriot Sprint Cars have a July 18th date, while the Lucas Oil ESS Sprints stop by August 8th. Kirkland says it’ll be great to have the winged warriors as part of the action at the popular 3/8th’s mile clay oval on Temperance Lake Road.

“Our regular Saturday night stalwarts provide a delicious main course, but the sprint cars have always been a fan favourite around these parts,” admitted Paul Kirkland. “We’ll have 18 regular season shows this year and combining our new 602 Crate division with the Patriot and ESS shows, 9 events will include sprint cars.”

Short track Saturday night notes: The Northeast Late Model Alliance tour has been added to the Sunday line-up for the 2020 edition of the Fall Nationals…Fans will also notice a change on the marquee for the season-ending DIRTcar Northeast Fall Nationals. King Edward Auto Parts – Carquest/Dirt Outlaw Apparel will join the October 16th and 17th finale as the event’s title sponsor.
