Ontario Dirt Tracks Announce 2020 Duel On The Dirt Schedule Of Events

Story By: CLAYTON JOHNS / DUEL ON THE DIRT – OHSWEKEN, ONT – The Ontario Dirt Competition Committee (ODCC) member tracks are pleased to release the 2020 schedule for the Insta-Panels Duel on the Dirt Series for Street Stocks and Mini Stocks.

The tracks included on the schedule include four ODCC member tracks, including Brighton Speedway, Humberstone Speedway, Merrittville Speedway and Ohsweken Speedway.

The Insta-Panels Duel on the Dirt series will race under ODCC rules for the second straight season. The ODCC, created in October 2018 with a combination of track promoters and drivers, created a common set of rules for Street Stock and Mini Stock-type racecars that all five member tracks will adhere to for weekly and Duel on the Dirt competition.

The 2020 edition of the Insta-Panels Duel on the Dirt Series will see seven combined races at four member tracks across the two divisions with each track hosting a pair of home track races as well.

In 2019, it was Brighton Speedway driver Justin Ramsay who claimed the Thunder Stock championship on the strength of four top-five finishes over Steve Shaw, Humberstone drivers Donny Lampman and Billy Bleich Jr. while Ohsweken’s Dave Bailey completed the top-five. In the Mini Stock division, Humberstone’s Tyler Lafantasie scored two combined race wins to claim the championship title over Ohsweken Speedway drivers Kyle Wert and Jonathan Ayrton. Merrittville’s Jay Moulton and Humberstone’s Evan Curtis rounded out the top-five.
