Brock Zearfoss Impressive & Shows Speed At Port Royal’s ‘Speed Palace’ Saturday

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BROCK ZEARFOSS RACING – JONESTOWN, PA – Brock Zearfoss represented his Central Pennsylvania fanbase well on Saturday during his visit to the Port Royal ‘Speed Palace.’

The former Port Royal Speedway champion put on an impressive afternoon display that included a hard charge from sixth to second during heat race competition, soon followed by a rally from 11th to sixth during A-main action. The result bumped Zearfoss’ top-ten total to seven on the season.

Zearfoss, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing/Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc./C&D Rigging Inc./ BAPS Auto Paints & Supply/Meckley’s Limestone Products/Berkebile Oil Company/Klick Lewis Cars/No. 3Z sprint car, capped his recent weekend with a Sunday afternoon visit to Williams Grove Speedway for its season opener on March 15. Despite his end-result equalling a 16th-place finish, the route to get there was hard-fought, as Zearfoss was ultimately forced to compete in the B-main, which he was victorious, after finishing sixth during his respective heat race.

The Jonestown, Pennsylvania-native was battling as high as 12th at The Grove before contact and an eventual spin forced the familiar No. 3Z to resume action at the tail.

“We have a lot of speed, that’s for sure. We just need to find a little bit of good luck and we’ll be just fine,” Brock Zearfoss said, a full-time All Star who will compete in Central PA until the 2020 All Star calendar resumes on April 10. “I have a great team and I’m proud of them. We’re fortunate enough to have a great group of partners who believe in us and never give up on us. I’m confident we’ll be on top soon.”

Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their 2020 campaign with another doubleheader in the Keystone State, this time visiting Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, March 20, as well as Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, March 21. The ‘Jonestown Jet’ was a one-time winner at the Port Royal ‘Speed Palace’ in 2019, occurring during URC/360c.i. action on October 19.
