Brett Michalski Scores Top-Ten During Lincoln Speedway Start; Lincoln & Williams Grove Ahead

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BRETT MICHALSKI MOTORSPORTS – PENNDEL, PA – It was a breakthrough weekend in the Pigeon Hills for Brett Michalski and Brett Michalski Motorsports, as the Penndel, Pennsylvania-based sprint car team captured their first top-ten performance of the 2020 season, doing so at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway on Saturday afternoon, March 7.

Michalski, a one-time winner at Lincoln Speedway, as well as a former Rookie of the Year in the 410c.i. ranks, finished eighth during his most recent start at the Central Pennsylvania landmark, doing so after starting fifth on the feature grid. The ‘Penndel Pistol’ kicked-off the afternoon program with a runner-up finish during his respective heat race.

Despite the Saturday afternoon success, history failed to repeat itself on Sunday during Port Royal Speedway’s season opener, as Michalski was unable to transfer out of a stout B-main. There were 46 cars entered for action at the Port Royal ‘Speed Palace.’

“It feels good to finally crack into the top-ten. Central PA is a tough place to race, which means it can be tough to find your groove. Lucky for me, I have a great team that never gives up and we were able to put together a solid outing at Lincoln,” Michalski said, driver of the Brett Michalski Motorsports/JR Michalski Heating & Air Conditioning/Irish Rover Station House/York by Johnson Controls/Wood Services/Richboro Pub/Maxim Chassis/Don Ott Racing Engines/Kriner Engines/Penske Shocks/VP Racing Fuels/Hoosier Tire/Wings Unlimited/Racer’s Used and New Parts Warehouse/CR Graphix/SC Signs/Pyrotect/Hinchman Indy/No. 73B sprint car. “Eighth is solid, but we want more. We know we have what it takes to win. We’ll try again next Saturday.”

Brett Michalski and Brett Michalski Motorsports will continue their 2020 campaign with another round of action in the Keystone State beginning with one more Saturday afternoon visit to Lincoln Speedway on March 14. The weekend will cap with Williams Grove Speedway’s season opener on Sunday, March 15.
