Kyle DeMetro & Spurback Motorsports Team Up To Tackle Big Block Modifieds Weekly At Brewerton In 2020
Story By: KYLE DEMETRO RACING – ROME, NY – The 2019 racing season ended early with a heartbreaking motor failure. Kyle DeMetro was ready for 2020 to come as soon as possible and put 2019 in the past. You know what they say, a new year brings new opportunities.
Shortly after the celebrations of another ball drop, Kyle got a call that would make 2020 a very exciting racing season. Andrew Spurback of Spurback Motorsports offered Kyle and his team an opportunity to partner up and tackle the big block modified division.
Andrew explained how he recently acquired a big block engine that he originally planned to sell. After some time, the idea was created to find a team and driver to utilize the motor for weekly competition. Andrew and his partners deliberated for days to choose the right driver for the job. Andrew stated, “I believe Kyle is honest and has the right attitude. He runs a professional operation that creates a good fit to represent Spurback Motorsports”.
So, what does the 2020 racing season schedule look like for Kyle?
“First and foremost, I cannot thank Andrew and Spurback Motorsports for the opportunity. This is something I have dreamed about but never considered a reality. We are still working on a schedule as well as marketing partners for this season. I can tell you we will be competing at Brewerton Speedway on a weekly basis. Additional plans are to hit as many Super Dirtcar Series and “big money” shows as possible.”
Lance Nelson, Co-owner of Kyle DeMetro Racing, expressed his excitement for this partnership:
“After ending our season so early, it seemed like we were in a funk trying to figure out our plans for 2020. When Kyle told me about this opportunity, I was very happy for him as well as our team. Big blocks are the real deal and I think this can help our team in many ways. Hopefully we can get more exposure running in the top class to help create new sponsor opportunities.”
Will this be the year Kyle can shine through and establish a name in modified racing? Only time will tell but in the meantime, his team is getting prepared and ready to battle this season.
