Twin 20’s Coming Up For Sprints At Port Royal Speedway

Story By: JUSTIN SNYDER / PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY – PORT ROYAL, PA – Port Royal Speedway returns June 8, 2019 with a three-division show featuring the Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars, the Penns Valley Meat Market PASS IMCA 305 Sprint Cars and the Juniata Junction Xtreme Stocks.

Following a week off for the 410 Sprint Cars, the drivers will return with double the racing action as they will be running two ‘Twin 20’s feature events following a full format. Drivers will take part in straight up time trials against the entire field and the Fast Time driver will draw either a 2, 3 or 4 for the inversion of heat races.

The top 3 finishers from each heat race will re-draw for the A-Main. The driver who wins the first feature event will draw either a 4,6,8 or 10 inversion for the 2nd feature. Both feature events will pay $3000 to win and $300 to start. Only the first feature will be a points paying event and drivers will use the same Right Rear Tire for both features.

The current Weikerts Livestock points leader, Logan Wagner, will be looking to make it back to back as he picked up the feature win 2 weeks ago during the Weikert Memorial finale on Sunday night.

The 305 Sprint Cars will be making their 4th appearance of the 2019 season. Current points leader Ken Duke, a 2-time winner at the speedway in 2019, will be looking to extend his points lead as he hold a 5 point advantage over Jonathan Jones and a 100 point lead over Nick Sweigart.

Finally the Xtreme Stocks will be making their second appearance of the 2019 season. Brad Mitch picked up the win over Pete Leister in the series initial visit to the speedway and he holds a 15 point advantage in the point standing heading into the event.
